On May 15, TAIP held the first event in the 2026 Community Building series — an in-person Teacher Sharing Session at Sakura International School. Teachers from across Tokyo spent the evening in conversation around Social Emotional Learning, Early Years literacy, and conflict resolution, sharing practical strategies, challenges, and experiences from their own classrooms.
From supporting emotional regulation to rethinking what meaningful literacy learning looks like for young children, the evening generated ideas that educators could take directly back into their classrooms.
Thank you to Marwa Elgezery Ed.D. and the Sakura International School team for hosting. The next TAIP Teacher Sharing Session takes place online on Thursday, July 16.
