TAIP Fall Director’s Meeting

Dear TAIP Member School Directors,

I hope you all have had time over the summer to reconnect with friends and family and have returned to a new school year refreshed and rejuvenated.

Last March TAIP held a Director’s meeting as a means to provide an opportunity for us to come together, network, discuss issues we face, and provide support to each other. The numbers that were able to attend were rather small, but I believe the meeting itself surpassed expectations. Those connections made have created a relationship that continues to exist. As Directors our support circles can be quite small, and this is one way that TAIP reaches out and provides an opportunity to create and renew relationships that help support us in our jobs to be the best for our schools.

On Thursday, Nov. 2nd, from 6:00 pm, I will be hosting this school year’s Directors social gathering at Summerhill International School. All member school Directors or their delegated Administrative staff are invited to attend. I hope this timing works well for you and you are able to join us.

Please RSVP by the end of September your intent to attend so that I can properly prepare the refreshments. If you have some topics that you know you would like to share with others, let me know and I will prepare an informal agenda.

I look forward to renewing discussion with those of you who attended last year, and am excited to welcome new Directors into the circle.

Warm regards,
Kathryne
TAIP President

She has presented at schools and events all over the world, including NAEYC, where our staff found her. Her sessions are energetic, informative and highly applicable to the preschool classroom. The focus will be on creating a child-centered environment at school as well as a plethora of ideas and strategies for the preschool classroom. She will be running a full day seminar (there is no half-day option) that promises to be a very special event indeed.

Covenant Players

TAIP1

For over forty years, Covenant Players has used the dramatic arts to support the work of educators and social workers throughout the world. They use drama in the classroom to develop confidence and coordination, build teamwork and help students address the universal themes that address the universal human condition. This workshop will focus on helping teachers to effectively implement drama in the preschool classroom and engage students of all personalities and backgrounds. Participants should come prepared to have fun, participate and experience the wonderful world of imagination and how it can be used as an educational resource. This will be a half-day seminar available in both the morning and afternoon.
